ADVICOR® 1000 mg/40 mg single tablet
Managing LDL-C is often not enough
Elevated LDL-C and TG coupled with low HDL-C have been shown to significantly and independently increase cardiovascular (CV) risk.3 While LDL-C in particular has become a primary target of therapy, data from the 35-year Framingham Heart Study suggest that regardless of LDL-C level, low HDL-C increases the risk for coronary artery disease (CAD).4 Accordingly, for patients not meeting their targets on current therapy, a treatment strategy that targets lipid abnormalities, including HDL-C and triglycerides (TG), may be warranted.
Streamline your lipid treatment strategies
ADVICOR® (niacin extended-release/lovastatin tablets) 1000 mg/40 mg single tablet has two distinct mechanisms of action that deliver the LDL-C efficacy of a statin with the HDL-C benefits of extended-release niacin. Results of clinical trials have demonstrated that ADVICOR 1000 mg/40 mg:
- Helps patients achieve lipid goals
- Provides a greater improvement in the 3 major lipid parameters versus the starting dose
- Offers even better LDL-C control in women than men
- Makes dosing easier to help enhance patient compliance
